Your senior portraits are an opportunity to be different, be unique, to be YOU. That’s what Senior Expressions are all about. Don’t be disappointed by the same old cookie cutter senior session, boring backgrounds, cheesy props and awkward poses. We believe that every senior is an individual and their senior portraits should show it!
Attire
One of the easiest ways to express yourself is through your clothes from formal (ie. prom gown), casual (sports uniforms and everyday attire), traditional, to trendy and funky.
Bring a variety of colors, solid colored and simple patters photograph best! AVOID STRIPES AND PLAIDS.
Don’t forget the accessories sunglasses, hats, belts, different shoes, purses, scarves and jewelry can make any outfit more dynamic and exciting. You can’t bring too much!
Senior Expressions are all about you so be yourself and have fun!
Props
Props are another opportunity to express your personality and hobbies. Bring your class ring, sports or cheerleading uniforms, music instruments, athletic equipment (baseball bats, volley balls, soccer balls, skateboards ect.) , hunting (guns unloaded please) and fishing gear. Think about props that match your outfits.
Ladies
Be sure to have you nails manicured. Many poses show your fingernails, toenails or both so don’t forget the toes.
Don’t forget the lips. Lip gloss, chapstick, lipstick, clear or natural colors give your lips life and luster.
Wear clothes that are flattering. If you feel you have large arms, avoid wearing sleeveless styles like tank and spaghetti strap tops. Also please be aware that mini skirts can severely limit how you can sit and move.
Guys
A clean shave looks best – facial hair cannot be retouched.
Bring the appropriate shoes (and socks) for your outfit.
Don’t forget to get your haircut 2-3 weeks in advance.
